Nils-Erik (or Nissa - as most of his friends call him) graduated with a MSc in Process Engineering in 1983 (NTH – Norway). His first years were spent in Statoil, with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics for fiscal metering as core competence. Based in Stavanger, but a lot on the move; commissioning and operation Onshore and Offshore North Sea, and also petrochemical industry in Sweden and refinery in Denmark.
In 1988, he joined Aker to work with the major North Sea Developments as Sleipner, Troll Gas, Njord and Oseberg South – in various roles as instrument engineer and later engineering management.
Next step was Read Process, as Engineering Manager, before joining ABB (later Vetco) in 1999.
In ABB/Vetco, Nils-Erik has been one of the key players in development of the Business Unit for Process products and FPSO modules. He has been department manager for Engineering and for Project Execution, and has been project manager for e.g. the Sendje Ceiba and Vincent projects, both complete Topsides for FPSO’s. The last two years he also was a member of the Board of Directors for Vetco, Thailand.
In M7; Nils-Erik has - besides beeing General Manager for a growing company - among others been Project Manager for the first phase of M7's part of the Bilabri project, MIT-manager for AFP's Smart 1 - Reliance Project and Project Manager for M7's part of BWO/Petrobras Tupi TLD project.
He holds the position as Chairman of the Board for the newly established M7 Offshore Pte Ltd in Singapore
Nils-Erik’s life after work has been concentrated around sport. A devoted runner and scuba diver in his youth, and for a number of years; – basketball coach for youth players.
