Kumara obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from State board of Technical education in Karnataka, India in 1995. In 2009, he obtained a diploma in an ASME B31.3 Process Piping and Engineering course in India.
His career started in 1996 and has since then worked with various engineering design firms, with the likes of V3 Technologies (India), Delphi Industries (India) and Advanced Carbide Tool Technologies (Singapore) in his early days. In 2009, he moved back to India and joined Converse Technologies Hyderabad where he worked as a CAD-Engineer. While with Converse Technologies, he had successfully worked on the NGL1, BGL2, NGl3 and NGL4 onshore projects and PS2, PS3 and PS4 offshore projects, with Qatar Petroleum as client. His role in these projects were varied and was given the opportunity to be involved in the 3D modelling of piping and equipment ‘s line list preparation, preparation of nozzle orientation drawings, data consistency checking and checking of specifications.
In Dec 2010, he joined Worley Parsons Sea India Ltd-Hyderabad as a Piping Designer. While with Worley Parsons, he was involved in the ONGC B-193 Process platform project and an ADMA-OPCO gas turbine up-grade project. For these projects, he worked on the equipment and pipe modelling, isometric generation and ensured model’s integrity through clash check.
Besides being familiar with international codes and standards, he is also experienced in using the following modelling and CAD softwares such as PDMS, MDS, AutoCAD, Microstation and Navis-works.
In his leisure time, he enjoys watching movies, listening music, reading story books, reading newspapers and spending quality time with family members.
