Kristen Sjøtveit graduated from Horten College and Mechanical Engineering in 1991. He worked in ABB from 1991 to 1996, joining the projects Sleipner Condensate, Tordis Tie-in, Smedvik Water Injection and Valhall Wellhead.
He also worked as a consultant for Norwegian Contractors and Kvaerner on Heidrun field development and Snøhvit LNG.
From 1996 to 1998 he worked for Umoe and was involved in Troll-C development in various piping and layout work. He also worked in South Korea at Hyundai Heavy Industry with UMOE site team
Then again he joined ABB (later Vetco) on Hydro’s Heimdal Riser Project.
From 1999, Kristen has been a key member in ABB/Vetco’s Business Unit for Process products and FPSO modules as Layout/Piping Lead and Site rep. for the Bergesen Offshore FPSO’s Sendje Ceiba M50 module, Berge Helene and Okwori.
His most recent projects were Volve (Maersk) and Golfinho/Vittoria (Saipem).
In M7; Kristen has been layout responsible for M7's part of the Bilabri project and been involved in all other piping & layout tasks for M7.
Kristen lives in Slemmestad with his wife and three children.
