Jan P. graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Strathclyde University (Scotland) in 1981.
Upon graduation he joined Elkem Engineering where he worked for 1 year before entering into the oil and gas industry. He worked for 2 years at Kværner Brug working with Gas turbines and compressors before moving to Norconsult for 4 years. He then started his own company and worked on several on- and offshore projects both in Norway and abroad (mainly Africa).
In 1997 Jan P. started working for ABB (later Vetco). He has from 1999 worked as module- and project manager on FPSOs for the ship owner marked, i.e. Sendje Berge, Sendje Ceiba, Chinguetti and Golfinho/Vittoria.
Jan P. has through the years obtained substantial multidiscipline knowledge.
In M7; Jan Peter was first responsible for mechanical for M7's part of the Bilabri project, later he has been FPSOcean's responsible person for the process plant for DeeP Producer #1.
Jan P’s favourite leisure time is spent on skiing, cycling and mountaineering together with his wife and three sons.
